El concepto de diseño web responsive hace referencia al proceso de diseño y desarrollo de sitios web que son capaces de reaccionar a las acciones del usuario y detectar el medio o pantalla en la que el sitio está siendo observado con el fin de proporcionar la mejor experiencia posible para el usuario en términos de navegabilidad y legibilidad. La teoría detrás del diseño responsive implica la utilización de varios sistemas de rejilla y disposición, optimización de imagen y consultas de medios CSS. Por lo tanto, no importa cuántos dispositivos y pantallas puedan aparecer en el futuro, ya que los sitios web responsive siempre serán capaces de proporcionar una respuesta adecuada.
El responsive no es sólo reducir tamaño
Pero el diseño web responsive no es simplemente reducir los tamaños de las fuentes y reducir la imagen para que se adapte al nuevo formato. Este concepto requiere un proceso reflexivo en el que los diseñadores y desarrolladores trabajan juntos para determinar cómo redistribuir los elementos según la resolución, qué elementos pueden ser eliminados y cómo mantener el concepto mientras se simplifica la estructura.
De acuerdo con muchos gurús de Internet, el futuro y el presente de Internet se basa y se basará en dispositivos móviles (tabletas, teléfonos inteligentes, consolas portátiles) en lugar de equipos de escritorio y portátiles. Cada vez más usuarios utilizan únicamente dispositivos móviles, tabletas e incluso televisores smart para navegar por la red, por lo que es indispensable que contemplemos estos dispositivos como una parte cada vez más importante de la audiencia. Pero este incremento en la cantidad de dispositivos móviles no significa que los escritorios estén condenados, de hecho podemos ver cómo salen al mercado monitores más grandes todos los días, y estos son muy apreciados por los diseñadores, artistas visuales y productores. Por lo menos para ellos, una tableta nunca será capaz de reemplazar una ordenador de escritorio.
Factores clave en el diseño web responsive
Una vez que empiece a desarrollar su proyecto responsive para hacer que su sitio se vea bien y trabaje en todo tipo de resoluciones (al menos para que se adapte al mayor porcentaje de resoluciones posible), es importante mencionar tres aspectos esenciales que siempre se deben tener en cuenta en el monento de plantear el proyecto:
- Independientemente del tamaño de la pantalla, siempre asegúrese de que toda la información clave permanezca visible para los usuarios sin tener que desplazarse, esto se puede lograr mediante la simplificación de los botones, la reducción de palabras y la eliminación de elementos.
- El texto debe ser fácil de leer a pesar de la cantidad de columnas, ya se tengan tres columnas anchas o una columna única y estrecha.
- Más que un simple cambio de tamaño, el sitio sufre realmente una reorganización pensativa cuando la resolución de pantalla varía, manteniendo todos los elementos fáciles de encontrar y la navegación fácil y organizada.
- La versión más grande de su sitio debe proporcionar una cantidad mayor de información antes de que el desplazamiento sea necesario mientras que mantiene una buena estructura para las pantallas más pequeñas.
Por tanto, y en resumen, abordar un proyecto web responsive (Ya sea partiendo de cero o adaptando un modelo ya existente) no consiste únicamente en un tema visual de ajuste de los contenidos a resoluciones más bajas. Implica todo un proceso de conceptualización de la información para conseguir el mismo objetivo comunicativo con un menor lienzo en el que desplegarlo.
